The “Go” button being a smaller size makes for mobile usage a bit tricky. The previous size was just right.

On the mobile version, I’ve noticed that the “Go” button seems to have shrunk. This would be a bit problematic for those with larger fingers, and the previous size was just perfectly right.

The sorting for the communities on mobile aren’t working. It keeps coming up as this page does not exist.

Hey is there a way we can get it so we can edit our profiles from mobile? And post updates?

This new mobile site does not like poor people. Half the buttons don’t work on any phone that isn’t a smart phone. Which is upsetting because I am not often able to get on a computer and my family cannot afford me a smart phone. No more reading fiction press or fanfiction for me.

On the mobile site, the list of communities by section comes up, but clicking on the section (i.e., Harry Potter) comes up with a little “site does not exist, go back and try again” page, which isn’t fun. And then, when I refresh the page, I get a page that says this:

“Oops! We cannot find this page on m.fanfiction.net.
Most likely you are accessing the site with an outdated link.

    http://m.fanfiction.net/communities/tv/Heroes/

Any reason this isn’t working? Cause restarting both my phone and modem did absolutely nothing to help, so I’m sure it’s not me.

    Thanks,
    BillThomas

The mobile TV communities are not working, which is disappointing since my current main reading focus are TV shows. Please fix this!

The site is great on an iPhone, but not other “less smartphones”. As an iPhone user I love it though. And yes, the button did shrink…

When you streamlined your mobile site you kinda cut out the navigation within a story – or searching for a certain story. That is very un user friendly… I personally liked to jump right to a story I was reading on my comp to the kindle version and now I have to laboriously use google to get anywhere. Certainly makes me less likely to use the site when I am out and about.

It’s still there. Look in the upper right corner of the screen, where ir says “more”. Tap that, and you’ll find the search function.

@Marns, do you see the “More” in the navigation bar? It is under there. If I’m looking at this website with my Rumor Touch, I have to view it in landscape in order to see the “More.”

How do you search for a specific story or author as I can’t seem to find it on my iPod because whenever I go to press more it doesn’t press on it it just zooms in on it

I can’t find the way to search for specific stories or authors. I have I feeling that it’s the more part in the tool bar were the community and forums are but whenever I’m on my iPod and trying to search something it doesn’t actually do anything when I press on it besides zoom in. Can I please get a reply otherwise I won’t be able to use this sight as I can’t find my fav stories or authors

Yeah, that more button is pretty inert for me – I can’t even click on it.

I should say that I can’t click on it on my computer or kindle…

@Marns, clicking on it causes the page to refresh for me.

Well I just tried that button on my husband’s Kobo Vox and it worked… but my firefox computer and my kindle 3 still don’t even acknowledge that the button is there at all.

When I’m using an android phone and the mobile mode of fanfiction.net doesn’t work, is there a way to still be able to read a story in a desktop mode? Can you please don’t automatically direct the link into m.fanfiction when using an android?

How do you search a particular story on fanfiction mobile?

This person on fanfiction told me songfictions are not allowed and threatened to report me. If you disagree with these no-lives that only want to take people’s fun and creativity away like Mr. Perfectionist and lifesquasher, then let them know who’s boss. They have no right to put me in a community called “needs to be reported”. What !$?@&$, these people are. Fanfiction needs to do something about this.

Copyright law is the reason why song lyrics aren’t allowed on Fanfiction.net. However, it should be noted that fanfiction can be argued as falling under fair use more so than the use of song lyrics.

Could you make it so that people can access Doc Manager in the mobile site? It would seem easier if you’re on the go and you don’t have access to a computer.

I think you guys should come up with a mobile app. I think many users, and non users, would utilize it.
